The Bentley OpenUtilities Designer and Bentley OpenUtilities Map Network Trace dialog provides a single UI for all gas network trace operations.

The Network Trace dialog can be accessed through the menu item Gas > Utilities > Network Trace.

The Network Trace dialog can also be accessed from the Utilities toolbar.

The Network Trace Dialog can be divided into three areas:

• The top part of the dialog, where a network trace is defined, initialized, and/or validated:

  

• The middle part of the dialog, where the trace action is set and From and To features are selected:

  

• The bottom of the dialog, where the trace is executed, cleared or trace results are used for reporting:

  

• Optionally, the dialog can be enlarged by the button in the bottom left corner, to interactively add features to act as trace barrier.
